Progress not perfection
Progress not perfection
Hey love,
I’ve hinted a few times recently that I’m currently in a big process.
It all began in August when I went on a little break to a cabin in the woods with my dearest Bike Gang friends (I’ve never actually ridden a bike with them and, for those of you who don’t know, I am also in a bike gang called the Road Dogs and have a tattoo on my foot to show my devotion. The gang consists of three people and one scooter).
On the last day of this nourishing break with my badass bike gang girls, I decided to carry out a solo mushroom ceremony. It was an existential, diamond skied psychedelic ride that ended with me building an epic fire and chanting to Kali for quite a long time. Let’s just say that a whole lot of familiarity, safety, self images and ways of seeing have been thrown in the fire, as requested, and it’s been wild, intense, dark and revelatory.
Coming out the other side, I find myself loaded on Shakti, clear in direction and on a coaching program where I learnt this mantra:
Progress not perfection.
As a Virgo with some serious Saturn energy, this is music to my ears. It says me to me:
Know what you want, put one foot in front of the other and make progress. It doesn’t have to be all shiny and perfect before you begin.
If you are precariously teetering on a threshold, I encourage you to have unwavering trust in yourself.
Keep the channel open through practice, drink from source every day, devote yourself wholeheartedly to your process, your progress or your own (perhaps painful) realisation.
Know that you are finding your way.
I love you.
