Courage and intimate conversations
To share your story with your whole heart
Hey loves,
In perfect synchronicity, this morning a came across Brené Brown explaining the etymology of the word courage. Tara Judelle shared this with me in my first teacher training in 2014 and it has been forever inscribed on my soul. Many of you will have heard the teaching.
Courage comes from the Latin ‘cor’, or heart, and the original translation was to share your story with your whole heart. This is the root of what courage means.
It is in that spirit I share this beautiful conversation between Chris and I for his magical podcast, On The Soul’s Terms. My relationship to my Mum is one I only talk about with those who are in my immediate circles and community so it feels big. And I also feel steady and assured that I have come far enough to be able to talk about such personal things in public.
I hope there is an insight or understanding that opens a door for you, or somehow gives you comfort.
With love.
Collette
